Terms of use

Purpose

These terms of use govern the use of Mataï (matai.fit), a service to save your clothing sizes, brand by brand, and your measurements, for yourself and your loved ones, and share them through a link. By creating an account or using Mataï, you accept these terms.

Publisher

Mataï is a personal, non-professional website published by p2s. Contact: pdeuxsia@gmail.com. The host is named in the legal notice.

Access to the service

Mataï is free. Public pages and "Find your size" work without an account; saving your sizes and measurements requires one. Your internet connection and device remain your responsibility.

Beta version

Mataï is in beta: the service is provided as is, with no guarantee of availability, continuity or freedom from errors. It may be interrupted at any time, for example for maintenance.

Features, layout and how data is organised may change, be modified or removed. During the beta, a data reset (erasing all or part of the accounts and content) remains possible; the publisher will try to give notice in advance whenever possible.

Keep a copy of your data: Settings > Privacy and data > My data > Download (JSON file). This file can later be imported back (Import my data).

Your account

• You provide an accurate email address that you control, and truthful information.
• Your account is personal. Keep your password confidential: you are responsible for what is done from your account. If it is used without your permission, let pdeuxsia@gmail.com know.
• You can delete your account at any time (Settings > Danger zone > Delete my account): your data, the data of the people you keep track of and your share links are then deleted. Content published for everyone (brands, size charts) stays online, without your name.
• The publisher may suspend or delete an account that does not comply with these terms, after notifying you, except in an emergency or in case of obvious abuse.

Data about your loved ones

You can keep track of other people (child, partner, parent…). By entering their information, you guarantee that you are entitled to do so: as the holder of parental authority for a minor, or with the person’s consent when they can give it. You respect their wishes, in particular if they ask for their data to be corrected, removed from a share or deleted.

These people have no account: only you can access their data, except what you choose to share. How it is processed is described in the privacy policy.

Content visible to everyone

Some content you add is visible to everyone, with or without an account: brands added to the shared catalogue, the size charts you publish and, for anyone who has the link, what your active shares show. Reports are only read by administrators.

• This content must be accurate and related to the service: the name of a brand that exists, a size chart true to its source.
• The following is not allowed: unlawful, abusive, hateful, misleading or promotional content, content that infringes the rights of others, and personal information about other people (in a screenshot, a comment or a share name).
• The screenshot or text of a chart is only used to read and check the chart: it is not published. Only the sizes and measurements of the chart, which are factual information, are published.
• Licence: for the brands and size charts you publish, you grant the publisher, free of charge, worldwide and for the full term of the rights, the right to reproduce, adapt (layout, correction, merging duplicates) and display them in Mataï and on its public pages, including after you delete your account. For your shares, this right is limited to displaying them to the people who have the link, as long as the share is active.
• Moderation: the publisher may check, correct, archive, reject or delete content, for example a wrong chart or a duplicate brand, without notice if it obviously breaches these terms.
• Reporting: report a wrong or outdated size chart from its page ("Report an error"), and any other content to pdeuxsia@gmail.com. The publisher handles reports as soon as possible.

Health markers

Health markers (waist-to-height ratio, body roundness index) are optional and indicative only. Mataï is not a medical device: these markers are neither a diagnosis, nor medical advice or follow-up, and do not replace a consultation. For any question about your health, talk to a health professional.

Liability

• Mataï helps you choose a size, without guarantee: suggested sizes are indicative, and size charts added by users may contain errors ("unverified" badge). Check the brand’s size chart before buying: the publisher is not liable for a purchase in the wrong size.
• The publisher makes reasonable efforts to keep the service secure and working, without being able to guarantee it. It is not liable for interruptions, data loss (in particular during a reset in the beta) or indirect damage.
• You are responsible for the content you enter or publish, and for the share links you send, as well as for who you send them to.
• These limits do not apply in case of gross negligence or wilful misconduct by the publisher, and do not reduce the rights the law grants you.

Intellectual property

The Mataï name and logo, texts, illustrations (including the body outlines) and the website code belong to p2s. You may use them for your personal use of the service; any other reproduction requires permission. The clothing brands mentioned belong to their owners: Mataï is not affiliated with any of them.

Personal data

How your data, and that of the people you keep track of, is processed is described in the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

The publisher may change these terms, in particular as the service evolves. The update date is shown at the top of this page. For a significant change, you will be informed before it takes effect; continuing to use Mataï afterwards means you accept it. If you disagree, you can delete your account.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In case of disagreement, first write to pdeuxsia@gmail.com to look for an amicable solution. Failing that, the dispute falls under the competent French courts.
